Turn Crisis into Celebration in 2010

2009 came and passed. It has been a super-duper busy year as I made more and more friends and acquaintances via my current job, social networking sites (especially Twitter), events, and meet-ups.

2010 - a new decade - starts today. It marks the beginning of the 11th year of my existence in Selangor. 10 years went by... Lots of memories - good and sweet, bad and bitter - all are etched in my mind and on my heart. I believe, in 2010, I shall continue to meet a lot more interesting people and my network will continue to grow.

The Watchnight Service at SIBKL was good - simple, concise, and practical message - something we might overlook when we start to get busy in our daily livi
ng and career starting January 4th, 2010.

Two postures to Turn Crisis into Celebration in 2010

Biblical Basis: 1 Sam. 11:1-15 (the early stage of King Saul)

1) Have a God-centered focus

* NOT man-centered
* Prayer: Lord, don't let anything dominate me other than You.

2) Have a Good Attitude in life
* Stay humble
* Forgive
: Cordial to All, Close to Some, Conflict with None

The matter of forgiveness has a rather significant impact on me. Without forgiveness, we'll stay in crisis and be defeated. Forgive because our Father has forgiven us. Forgiveness turns crisis into celebration.

Drop the last year into the silent limbo of the past. Let it go, for it was imperfect, and thank God that it can go. ~Brooks Atkinson

Do everything you can to honor God, whatever the cost. Don't do anything that dishonors God, whatever the gain.
