Updated! Books from Big Bad Book Sale - 12-17 November 2010

Quoting Big Bad Wolf, "Book lovers are super kiasu." LOL! Kiasu literally means scared of losing to others. Today, I'm one of the many super kiasu book lovers who throng the book sale on the very first day! Never in my life have I been so kiasu. ;)

This year, the Big Bad Book Sales is held at Ground Floor, South City Plaza, Seri Kembangan, 12-17 November, 10am till 9pm. This morning, I arrived at the venue slightly before 9:30am. I was quite taken aback to see such a long queue!

This is the entrance and exit. Remember to bring your own bags if you don't like to carry boxes around and have to push your way through the crowd of fellow book lovers. It's kinda tedious, seriously. One more thing, f you have an OCBC credit card, do remember to bring to get an additional 10% discount.

Here's a stack of Star Wars books that David wants.

Oh, I can't get my hands off this one and only The Star Wars Cook Book from the Recipes section!

This is the page -- R2-D2 Treats -- that seals the deal of getting this book! LOL!

Books that I bought for myself: Season of Secrets (Sally Nicholas), The Declaration (Gemma Malley), The Dark Side: Truly Terrifying Tales (Susan Price), Circle of Desire, Circle of Fire, Circle of Death (Keri Arthur), and Huntress (Christine Warren, Marjorie M. Liu, Caitlin Kittredge, Jenna Maclaine).

I bought The Declaration (Gemma Malley) because I've bought The Resistance (sequel to The Declaration) two months back.

Here are more books that I bought. The Time Traveler's Wife, Her Fearful Symmetry (Audrey Niffenegger), and How To Be A Vampire (Amy Gray). Hehehe!

Love this Big Bad Wolf bookmark!

Finally, here's the stack of books that I've yet to read -- books that I've bought from BookXcess and Bookalicious throughout these few months plus today's "harvest". I think I don't have to buy books for the next six months or so. :D

Read The Star's article:

Blizzard of books at Seri Kembangan mall

Excerpt:

Being held from today to Nov 17 in South City Plaza in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, the sale will offer a gut-busting 300,000 books at 70% to 90% off the recommended retail prices.

"As in the previous two sales, paperback fiction will start at RM8, while coffee-table books are RM15 to RM30 each," said Andrew Yap, who alongside Jacqueline Ng are the husband-and-wife team behind Big Bad Wolf Books.

Good luck and have fun buying books, fellow book lovers!
