Dinner @ Honkee Porridge @ Damansara Uptown

There are six outlets: Damansara Uptown, Lot 10 Shopping Center, Bandar Puteri Puchong, Taipan USJ, Kepong Metro Perdana, and Petaling Street. My sister and I have our porridge fix at the Damansara Uptown outlet at Jalan SS21/1A.

If you love porridge, you'll love the selection of porridge dishes at Honkee Porridge - fish, meatballs, pork, chicken, century egg - you name it. The side orders are pretty tempting too. Most importantly, all dishes are reasonably priced.

Fried Intestine Porridge & Raw Fish Porridge

My sister orders the Fried Intestine Porridge (back) and I go for Honkee's specialty porridge, Raw Fish Porridge (front). For my bowl of porridge, I ask for a raw chicken egg. We also order extra servings of ginger slices, fried intestines, and century eggs.

I love the raw fish slices seasoned with sesame oil and topped with fine ginger slices. My plate of raw fish is not served with spring onions and Chinese parsley because I ask for them to be removed.

While my bowl of porridge is still piping hot, I mix the raw egg and fish, slice by slice, with the porridge. Next, throw in those fried intestines and you'll be munching away happily. Such goodness of steaming porridge is just beyond words. :)
