Baby's snow peas puree

Baby's food journal:

This week, it's snow peas puree.

I buy a packet of snow peas from TTDI wet market. After soaking the pods for about 20 minutes, I open the pods and scrape out the peas. Then, I steam the peas until very tender before pureeing. I get about 30ml of pea puree. Before feeding baby, I add a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil.

I keep the broken pods for my dinner. :)

Dinner is beef stew with white radish, butternut squash, and snow pea pods cooked in slow cooker. Just before I switch off the heat, I dilute one tablespoon of corn flour and pour into the stew. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    1. Virgin coconut oil is a great immune booster. Adding it into baby's food for extra immunity benefits. Then he won't easily fall sick.

    1. Yes, 6mo can take virgin coconut oil. But they are so young and just started purees. So, you can just add 2-3 drops into their puree. VCO contains lauric acid which is a very good antibacterial element with similar capabilities to that found in breast milk.

Olive oil is for cooking or baking. VCO can be used in baking too. Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is for salad dressing. :)
