Fill in the Blank Friday - Do, Did, Done

Belated post for my Fill in the Blank Friday series.

1. Something I swore I'd never do, but have ended up doing anyway is lusting after "affordable luxuries", i.e. branded handbags; my current favorite being Coach.

2. Something I've always wanted to do is to be my own boss!

3. Something I have absolutely no desire to ever do is any form of adrenaline-pumping activities, e.g. white water rafting, jungle trekking, and whatever activities that demand extreme physical efforts. NO WAY.

4. The best thing I ever did was planning our own wedding. We managed to do it within budget and didn't start our life as husband and wife in debt. Note: Wedding in Malaysia is an expensive affair, of which we refuse to succumb to temptations whatsoever. Wedding is but for ONE DAY, marriage is for a LIFETIME.

5. When it comes to trying new things, I am and can be quite reluctant; well, it all depends on what those new things are. I'm a sucker for familiar and comfortable routines. Hahaha!

6. One thing I've never done is going topless during beach holidays, but hmmm... it's an idea worth considering, especially if we have a little private beach stretch for ourselves. :P

7. My favorite thing to do is spending every remaining hours of the day with my hubby. We work and drive separately (Malaysian traffic is insane) for almost 14 hours a day (Monday to Friday); so we try to have dinner together as much as we can.

Project: Reflect 52 #37-38 - Last weekend's KT-KB road trip journal & this weekend's shopping spree

Last weekend's KT-KB road trip journal can be found here. There are 3-4 more blog posts coming up! So, if you are reading, do check back from time to time. :)

Here are some purchases from this weekend's shopping spree, but not all of them are for myself. :D

As the hubby and I walked into the Mother and Childcare department in AEON, my maternal instinct kicked in and I bought a Fisher-Price baby cap, mittens, and booties...

... for a friend who's giving birth soon. :)

My need for a cup of hot coffee was satisfied at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf mini bar. I usually avoided expensive coffee but I gotten myself a cup of House coffee for only RM5. :)

From the moment I changed job in August last year, I have listed Longchamp and Coach on my "affordable luxuries" wishlist.

During my wedding three months ago, I received a red, long handle Longchamp Le Pliage Tote Bag as a wedding gift. :D

Three months later, here's my new Coach satchel bag with lavender-colored insides. However, this wasn't my purchase. It was an unexpected "giveaway" from hubby's relative. :)

Planet Popcorn!

Nine flavors - Original, Caramel, Cheese, Chocolate, Seaweed (bestseller), Curry, Wasabi, Coffee, Kimchi (latest flavor).

Hubby and I gotten a packet of Seaweed Popcorn and had a good time munching 'em tasty popcorns while watching Dredd. :D

My eyes are drawn to a pretty pink-and-beige Coach bag at the Coach outlet at The Gardens Mall. It's priced at RM1,025.

Three-O: Surprise Gifts from Work Fellas!!!

Exactly! I was VERY surprised when I received a phone call from a florist around lunch time. Ummm... I know there's no secret guy whatsoever out there at the moment. So, who's that sweet human being who's gonna send me something? And so, I waited for the florist guy to deliver the... ummm... flowers? :P

Guess what? I received a bouquet of six light brown mini bears from a "secret admirer" via www.love.com.my. Jeng jeng jeng...

The card says, "To: Joyce. Happy Birthday & love you so much so so so much! XOXO. From: Your Secret Admirer." Awww..... But I suspect something fishy here. :P

I really did have a really hard time trying to figure out who's the secret admirer. I published my "Thank You!" note on my IM window and Twitter and got no response from any living being. :'(

Then, I tried to test my colleagues. Negative. Not them. :/

I proceeded to test one of my clients. Her response was suspicious but not strong enough to get them nailed as "guilty for sending bears to me". ;P

An hour later, I received an e-Greeting Card from them!!! I was stunned for a while before bursting out laughing! "OHHH!!! SO, IT'S REALLY THEMMM!!!" W.I. sent the card, see its screenshot below. I recognized the message, it's the same as the one printed on the physical card that came along with the bears. OHHH!!! The realization was just SO overwhelming. :P

Awww... My "twin" is so sweet! She got a customized IM avatar on her IM window! See its screenshot below.

It turned out that she's the mastermind behind the whole surprise plan apart from W.I.'s idea to get me something as birthday present. Awww... Thanks!!!

Okay, my work friends got me and Naoko (her birthday was on 12 June) a birthday cake, Secret Recipe's Chocolate Cheese Cake.

The white seal is Naoko's and the golden-colored ladies' handbag is mine. I don't have golden-colored bag, it's gonna match some of my clothes nicely. *grins*

Thanks peeps!!! :D
