This is sloppily and droop-ily awesome too! Dig into generous amount of spicy minced meat sauce, cheese, and bacon.

Fried Rice with Green Peas & Egg

I cooked this one. I melted some salted butter in a frying pan, added a can of peas (drained), two eggs, overnight steamed rice, and a dash of salt and pepper to taste.

The next morning, I heated up some leftover rice in the microwave oven for breakfast. Topped with a slice of cheese for extra kick!

Charcoal Cheese Swiss Roll

This is good for dessert too. It's not too sweet and the cheese layer in the middle isn't too overpowering.

Entrée Café: My favorite eatery in Damansara Uptown

Entrée Café is an Eetcafé, which means, unsurprisingly, Eat Café, and eat is exactly what we will do at Entrée Café. They believe in Brand Concept, which means, great food shared over meals with people we love.

Entrée Café serves Asian Fusion pork-free cuisine, a fusion of hearty meals ranging from refreshing appetizers, entrees and luscious desserts.

So, here's a collection of wonderful meals I had at Entrée, ranging from the past two months to last night's dinner.

Fish and Chips with Tomato Lime Sambal and Salad

I request for no chips because I usually reduce my intake of fried stuff during dinner time. Mr. Simon is kind enough to replace the chips with stir-fried vegetables. Thank you!

The tomato lime sambal is really good!

Lemongrass Beef Burger with Fries and Salad

Homemade beef patty with lemongrass - a surprising combo that gives this burger a really unique taste and texture. Succulent, juicy, and fragrant - every bite oozes with goodness. A must-try alternative for burger eaters.

Chicken Curry with Fried Egg, Rice and Salad (top)
Seafood Clear Tom Yum Meehoon Soup (bottom)

Entrée's chicken curry looks different, it has a darker shade and tastes more like chicken rendang to me. Nonetheless, the entire combo with a fried egg tastes pretty good.

Clear tom yum soup tops my list for healthy dinner. Your tongue will be on fire and you might have a runny nose, but you will definitely enjoy the sizzling sensation as you finish the entire bowl of a$$-kicking soup.

Kampung Fried Rice with Long Beans, Chillies, Onions, served with Cracker

This is a good carbo-loading choice for me. I usually take half a plate of rice but whenever I order this fried rice, I will finish the entire plate, including the cracker. :)

Chicken Pongteh with Rice and Salad

Chicken pongteh is also chicken with potatoes. This is one of the usual choices for their daily set lunches' special; another one is buttermilk chicken.

Mini Chocolate Cupcakes

Alexandra told me that a friend of hers is making cupcakes as a hobby. These mini chocolates cupcakes are samples for Entrée's customers to taste. The cupcakes come with either cream cheese or chocolate toppings.

Pork Burger with Fries and Steamed Vegetables
 
The pork patty is well-seasoned, but I'd like it to be more succulent and perhaps wrapped with a strip of oily bacon? I should have asked for mustard sauce for the steamed vegetables, or at least some butter to taste. A sprinkle of pepper on the fries would add points to this dish's gastronomic appeal.

Chorizo Burger with Coleslaw and Potato Salad
 
The meat patty is made from beef and spices. Love that sizzling feeling on my tongue. A combination of coleslaw and potato salad looks overwhelming but it cools my palate and prepares me for more yummy bites.

Curry and fried rice - the perfect comfort food for the tired soul after a long day at work. Every mouthful is satisfying. Ahhh... the carbs. :)

I love macaroni since young. I've always been fascinated by the shape and texture of the pasta. This dish is a heaven-sent gift to us who love beef, spices, and pasta. I'll definitely recommend this dish to anyone with the same taste and passion for spicy food.

I like Bulldog's interior wall decor - very tastefully English with photo frames and giant beer bottles.

Replicas of a bottle of Guinness and a bulldog are on top of the front door.

There's even a very cheeky bar notice board in the bar.

Our Dinner

Here are our choices for my birthday dinner.

Beef & Guinness® Pie
 
Beef cubes cooked till tender in Guinness® with vegetables. Baked in short crust pastry. Served with vegetables, creamy mashed potato and gravy. 

I'm really impressed with the hearty portion of food served on the plate. The Guinness-infused beef cubes in the pie are slightly bitter but very tasty, tender, and flavorful. I couldn't stop spooning the pie's interior for more beef cubes. The creamy mashed potato melts in my mouth and is sinfully delicious when eaten with lots of thick gravy.

This perfect comfort food is washed down with a glass of Strongbow Cider, my favorite pub drink since I don't really like drinking beer and hard liquor. I'm okay with Baileys and Bloody Mary, not anything stronger.

Ultimate 'Bulldog' Burger

Double beef patty, cheddar cheese, bacon, mushroom and fried onions in a golden toasted bun. Served with chips.

I think we fall in love with this burger the moment we set our eyes upon super generous layers of beef patties, BACON strips, cheese, and fried onions! How could one resist juicy beef patties and most importantly, perfect oil-glazed bacon strips? No one could!

I sincerely believe this burger lives up to its name - the ULTIMATE 'Bulldog' Burger. However, I still think that it'll achieve its supremacy IF the beef patties are replaced with PORK patties! Just my two cents. ;)

Valentine's Day Special (Part V) - Lunch: Euro Deli Delicatessen

 
Euro Deli Delicatessen is one of our dining choices during our early dates. So, David suggested to revisit this restaurant again for our Valentine's Day lunch. It's sweet that he remembers such details. :)

Schweizer Kaese Hamburger (Cheese and Mushroom Burger) 

This monstrous looking burger is served with french fries, mushroom sauce, and coleslaw. We love the succulent pork patty and scrumptious gherkins and greens. Priced at RM22.50 at the moment, it's not one of the cheapest pork burger we've eaten, but I guess that's more or less the price you'll get for fine pork burgers. :)

 
Emmenthaler Wuerste (Emmenthaler Sausage) 

I'm really delighted with this dish. There are two pork sausages with cheese served with a dollop of mustard sauce, egg and potato salad, and my favorite sauerkraut. The combination of the creamy potatoes, sourish sauerkraut, and chewy sausages makes my Valentine's Day lunch a blissful experience. It's priced reasonably affordable at RM22.90 at the moment.

Overall, food quality is great. Coupled with a great companion, you shall find dining a bliss. :)

House Salad & Classic Meatloaf

House Salad is a combination of fresh leafy vegetables, tomatoes, apples, drizzled with refreshing citrus dressing. Nothing much to shout about. We need our fiber and this is the only vegetables dish on the menu.

Classic Meatloaf is a classical Midwest-style pork meatloaf, a hearty, wholesome, and tasty dish served with Betty's house mash potato, peas, onion relish, and beer-based dip.

We do love the meatloaf's succulent and melt-in-your-mouth texture. It's a tad too salty for my taste for the first few bites but the level of saltiness is tastefully balanced by yummylicious creamy mash potato and fragrant onion relish. Love the blanched peas too!

Sloppy Joe 

Sloppy Joe from the burgers section is an American favorite of ground pork cooked with baked beans, onions, ketchup, and other seasonings served with burger buns and fries.

Looks interesting and tastes great too! Really love the gravy. Tear up the bun, dip into the gravy, and eat. Do the same to the fries too and add Tabasco sauce for extra kick! I wanna try replicating this recipe. :P

Overall, I'd say, dining experience is reasonably favorable with good food quality and affordable prices.

Chicken Fillet Panini with Honey & Oatmeal Bread

The chicken fillet is thick and filling. It's lathered richly with barbecue sauce while resting on a bed of lettuce and slices of tomatoes with mayonnaise. The accompanying thick-cut fries are freshly fried, crunchy, and yummy!

Pork Chop

Pork Chop is served with one of these side dishes of your choice (chef's rice or spaghetti or fries or mashed potato). My sister chooses spaghetti and black pepper sauce.On a side note, if diet is a concern or if you don't like deep-fried food, you might want to give this dish a skip. However, for those who love their meat fried and flavorful, you might like this dish.

Sausage Wrap with Bacon & Buns

I have this dish for dinner - grilled sausage wrapped in bacon and served with caramelized onions, lettuce, and mayonnaise on two slices of white bun. I don't quite like french fries for dinner, so the waiter suggests mashed potato as substitution.

The weekend trip to Melaka with David's family during the Raya holidays was good. Ample of quality time was spent with David (of course! :P), his family members, and relatives. :)

According to the waiter or restaurant's owner (I'm not quite sure), the patty is made from pork and beef. We really love its chunkiness, meatiness, and juiciness. Sinfully delicious!

At the moment, there are four choices of Burgers & Dogs - Pork Burger, Sausage Wrap with Bacon & Buns, Aussie Burger, and Aussie Bacon Burger Wrap. The best thing is, they're attractively priced between RM12.90 to RM15.90.

Porky Pork Grill

Porky Pork Grill is served with one of these side dishes of your choice (chef's rice or spaghetti or fries or mashed potato). I chose spaghetti. Then, you may choose either black pepper or white sauce.

One should revisit this restaurant again and again to enjoy its variety of dishes, i.e. Western, Local, BYO. BYO means Bring Your Own and this applies to liqueur. No corkage, meaning you can bring your own bottle of liqueur and you'll only be charged for the glasses (prices vary amongst liqueur types). 

Whether it's a romantic dinner for two, heartwarming weekend meals with family or happening makan get-together with your groupies, Andes BYO is a good and highly recommended option. Do visit this restaurant and find out for yourselves. :)
