First monthiversary: Happy one month hubby!

Marché at The Curve has a special place in our hearts. We usually drop by here for meals when its Member's Day coincides with our special days. :P

Their latest Member's Day was on 7th and 8th July. Moreover, they are currently having their Berries Promotion from 5th till 15th July!

One of the specials during Berries Promotion is Grilled Chicken Breast with Berries Compote (top photo). Seasoned chicken breasts are grilled to perfection, served with mushroom sauce and berries (strawberries and blueberries) compote.

We love bell pepper antipasti and couscous salad from the Salad counter.

Have you tried the Australian Bundaberg's Peachee beverage?

Yup, you read that right. we started off our first monthiversary with food. :P

Then, we went off to IKEA because there's SALE from 5th till 22nd July!

Thanks Mei Ying for the IKEA gift card. It had served its honorable purpose. :)

The household stuff we hauled back.

Then, dinner was a simple vegetables (carrots, radish, celery, onions, potatoes) and chicken meatball soup I cooked in our humble kitchen. :)

Pumped up evening with pumpkin @ Marché

Marché's pumpkin promotion runs from 24 October 2011 until 13 November 2011.

Pumpkin Latte
This fantastic latte is homemade by mixing fresh pumpkin puree with Mӧvenpick Coffee. This drink has a very unique taste that you will love. Well, the part about having a unique taste is true. I would say it's an acquired taste. It's bitter-ish and delightfully refreshing.

Chicken and Pumpkin Stew
I really love this stew and I amuse myself by trying to figure out what are the vegetables found in this delicious bowl of goodness! So, there are lots of pumpkin, carrots, and celery chunks. Everything just melts in my mouth. I must cook this dish next time! :D

Celebration lunch @ Marché, The Curve

David and I have a mini celebration lunch at Marché, The Curve. It's always nice to treat ourselves with something extraordinary even on ordinary days. :)

Well, the last time we dined there was on my birthday last year. :P

Bavarian Meat Loaf with Egg
This dish is described as freshly ground chicken meat with mixed herbs and spices baked and lightly grilled just before serving.

The meat loaf is firm and doesn't crumble when I cut them into bite-size pieces, the way I like them. The sunny side-up egg adds cheers to this dish. Everything is perfect including the unassuming mash potatoes and mushroom sauce.

Grilled Chicken Breast
Minimalist to the max! No fuss, no frills. Just eat 'em meat with mushroom sauce. Protein boost in an instance! :D

Hungarian Beef Goulash with Bread
Ooo la la... Beef and vegetables - the perfect combination for a perfect bowl of rich and hearty stew. I love tearing up bread into pieces, smothered them with butter, and swallow them with a mouthful of hot stew. Can you imagine how blissful that is? :D

Salad
I'm always fascinated with the salad counter - the variety of pickles amazes me. So, we fill up our small bowl with bell peppers in olive oil, pickled white and red radish, olives, gherkins, capers, tomatoes, and topped them with sunflower and pumpkin seeds.

Birthday Dinner @ Marché Mӧvenpick, The Curve

My birthday dinner with David was at Marché Mӧvenpick, The Curve. He hasn't been there since college days, so I guess this would be the perfect place for dinner. :)

Mӧvenpick sounds like move-'n'-pick, i.e. you move around different food stations and pick food items that you like. If you've been to Marché, you'll know the "ticketing" and "moving-picking" system.

The cool thing is, since it's the football season now, Marché's employees are wearing different country's football jerseys and country flags are hung all over the ceiling. A giant screen is propped up at the far end of the outlet for football fans to watch the latest match.

Good news! Marché's food quality is still very good. Here's our pick: Saute Mushroom, Rotisserie Roasted Chicken, and Make-Your-Own Salad.

This is my all-time favorite beverage - Bundaberg's Australian Ginger Beer. I just love to drink it straight from the bottle.

This is dessert - Strawberry Panna Cotta - smooth and soothing.

By the way, here's something worth to keep in mind. Marché's Lunch Special (homemade lunch special for only RM12.50++) is available for a limited period of time (
14-25 June 2010), Monday to Friday, 11am to 3pm.

More good food^^

Food is good. No doubt. Healthy craving for food is good too as long as self-control is practiced. Trying out good food has become my favorite pastime nowadays. I don't eat much, my sister too. So, we always share our dinner and split the bill. Hahaha...

Here's something from Marché.

Lamb Shank Stew (RM28.50)
Huge portion. Just nice for two small eaters. One huge chunk of lamb shank plus a very flavorful gravy with carrots, leeks, celeries, and mushrooms. Will go for it again if I go to Marché.

Sauteed Mushroom (RM9)
Mushroom lovers like me will always go for this dish. Yummy!~

Panna Cotta (RM10.50)
Dessert. Quite pricey but the classic combination of vanilla and chocolate is heavenly. Can give it a try if price is not an issue.

Ahahaha... I wonder where will be my next stop for more food. ^_^

It's Bryan's Day ^^

Here are some of the captured moments. For more interesting shots, do get a slice of the gang's happiness at Aaron's Facebook > My Shoebox, Size 2. Also Chris' & CL's Facebook. I guess Naoko will follow up with more candid shots. Well, just go to her Facebook as well ^^V

I foresee there are more birthday treats to come~~~

After the dinner, we went on our own way. It was only 9:45pm by the time we left Marché. So, Fionne, Mimi, Wyan & I went to The Apartment (The Curve) for more drinks and chat. Tried Pink Margarita. Well... That's how it looks and tastes like.

Anyway, it has been another GREAT day! ^^
