Movie: Morning Glory (2010)

Breakfast TV Just Got Interesting

Morning Glory (2010) is a comedy movie starring Hollywood A-listers Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, Patrick Wilson, and Jeff Goldblum.

Synopsis from IMDb: Becky (Rachel McAdams) is a hardworking morning TV show producer, or at least she was until she got fired. Desperate to get a job, she finally gets an interview with Jerry (Jeff Goldblum) who is desperate to hire a producer for the struggling show "Daybreak". Becky accepts the job and it proves to be more difficult than even she might be able to handle. She has to fire the sexist co-host, then try to convince egotistical news reporter, Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford) to take the job, and then try and get him to actually do the job, properly. And she has to do this while falling for handsome Adam (Patrick Wilson), and trying to save the show from plummeting ratings. Will Becky be able to hold on to her dream job and her sanity?

This is an amazingly inspiring motivational comedy movie!

Here's a comment that I agree wholeheartedly: "There are some movies that leave you indifferent. You walk out of the theater, shrugging your shoulders and contemplating what to cook for dinner. Then there are those, that leave you with a definite emotion. Morning Glory, for me, was the latter. As the closing credits scrolled, I was inspired. I skipped out with a can-do spirit. Maybe it's due to Rachel McAdam's contagious radiance. Maybe it's Harrison Ford's excellent acting. Maybe it's the simple plot, and happy ending. I don't really know. All I know, is that even now, the after effect of this light comedy was pure conviction that anything can happen, if you work hard and really want it. To put it plainly, this romantic comedy was a pleasure to watch and an excellent remedy for those who are a little hopeless in these difficult times."

If you want to watch something bubbly, light, and motivational, you really should consider watching this movie.
