Introducing SaferOptics Anti Blue Light Glasses for My Kids

2020 & 2021 in a nutshell

How should I define my 2020 and 2021? I could do so in three simple sentences:

🏘️ One year #StayAtHome

πŸ‘¨‍🏫 Kids' #PdPR online, e-learning classes

πŸ‘¨‍πŸ’» Parents work from home #WFH

What's the big deal about blue light?

Everyone - adults and kids alike - is exposed to an insane amount of blue light this pandemic. What's the big deal you ask?

Blue light or High Energy Visible Light (HEV) is emitted at significant amounts from screens. Blue light is known to cause lasting effect to our eyes, skin, and DNA in the long run. Just like UV rays, too much blue light radiation exposure can damage light-sensitive cells in the retina. Blue light from digital devices decreases contrast, leading to eye strain, fatigue, dry eyes, blurry vision and headache, especially in kids.

WebMD says, "Your child's eyes don't filter blue light as well as yours do. Too much of it from device screens may raise their chances of developing obesity, nearsightedness, and attention focusing issues. At night, it may cause their body to release melatonin even more slowly than it does yours." Read the article here.

On a side note, I'm not a tiger mom when it comes to screen time because it's unavoidable and what can be done is controlled amount of exposure. So I turned to my friend, fellow mommypreneur, Shu Fong because she's the founder of SaferOptics.

Let's find out who SaferOptics is.

Shu Fong's family owns an optical lens manufacturing laboratory in Malaysia for more than 30 years. They produce high quality and comfortable blue light blocking lenses, which are popular due to the many benefits of anti-blue light coating.

Being a mom of two herself, Shu is looking for an eyewear brand that parents can trust, safe, and one that kids will love to wear. Coming from an optical industry background with years of research and quality assessment, Shu founded SaferOptics.

SaferOptics developed its proprietary UV 420 Anti-Glare Anti Blue Light Safety lenses using Award-winning, Certified High Impact Resistance, Shatter-Proof material. This means they don't use imported mass produced low-grade materials.

I'm so glad I have always trusted Safer Optics products. As a mom, I only want the best for my kids.
