[Friday-6] Visiting Klang

A gal pal who stays in Klang has done me a great, great favor! My Friday night was spent scouting out good food for supper in Klang with her and her boyfriend. Thanks for the hearty treat!

My tiny appetite for glorious food after 8pm was devastating. The fact that I'm on diet aggravates the situation. Lol. So, we settled down for some Indian food at a famous Mamak area. Pardon me, I can't remember the name of that place. I remembered I saw a road sign named Jalan Dengkil, Klang.

Nasi lemak (huge portion) with fragrant sambal, peanuts, and fried anchovies, roti kaya, and Indian-style fried chicken with kick-ass sambal were the night's treat. Now, roti kaya is something new to me. I've tried roti planta, roti telur, roti pisang, etc, but not roti kaya.

Then, we went to some place at the border of Port Klang and Klang for tong sui at a roadside stall. Thumbs up for its liu wei tang (the sweet type) aka Six-Flavored Dessert! The portion given was good. I loved the sole quail egg (photo on the right). Other ingredients included barley, lotus nuts, dried winter guava slices, and dried longan.

And of course, there's play time with Patrick, her Shih-Tzu! He's a lovely little rascal! ;P

Here's a great summary from Celia. XD

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY

In Florida, an atheist created a case against the Upcoming Easter and Passover days. He
hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians, Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days. The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood up objecting to the Ruling, "Your honor, how can you
possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client's counsel is
woefully ignorant."

The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for
atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools' Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The
fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned."

You gotta love a judge that knows his Scripture!! LOL!

Mean policies are mean. LOL!

From an email:

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2008

NEW OFFICE POLICY

Dress Code:
1) You are advised to come to work dressed according to your salary.
2) If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we will assume you are doing well financially and therefore you do not need a raise.
3) If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a raise.
4) If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a raise.

Sick Days:
We will no longer accept a doctor's statement as proof of sickness. If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

Personal Days:
Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturdays & Sundays.

Bereavement Leave:
This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend the funeral arrangements in your place. In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early.

Bathroom Breaks:
Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the stalls. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the stall door will open, and a picture will be taken. After your second offense, your picture will be posted on the company bulletin board under the 'Chronic Offenders' category. Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sectioned under the company's mental health policy.

Lunch Break:
* Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more, so that they can look healthy.
* Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure.
* Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast.

Thank you for your loyalty to our company. We are here to provide a positive employment experience. Therefore, all questions, comments, concerns, complaints, frustrations, irritations, aggravations, insinuations, allegations, accusations, contemplations, consternation and input should be directed elsewhere.

Period Pain, Herbal Remedy, Painkillers, Period Chart

There's basically one kind of physical pain that most girls are forced to go through. I present to you the infamous period pain or menstrual cramp, which occurs once a month and that's 12 times a year. Urrrgghhh!

According to eMedicineHealth's article about Menstrual Pain:
Menstrual cramps are sharp pains in a woman's lower abdomen that occur when her menstrual period begins and may continue for 2-3 days. Symptoms can range in severity from a mild annoyance to severe pain that interferes with normal activities. Menstrual cramps are the leading cause of absenteeism in women younger than 30 years. Although over half of women who have menstrual periods experience some discomfort, 10% are temporarily disabled by symptoms.

I've blogged about Relieving Menstrual Cramps before. Those remedies that I mentioned are good if the pain is not SEVERE. Most of the time, what I experienced was not mild annoyance; it's more like some kind of crippling pain that reduces me to a lifeless zombie, especially from day 1 till day 3, sometimes even day 4. At this point of time, I'd resort to clawing my hands and legs in order to get myself distracted from that stupid, agonizing, and throbbing abdominal pain.

So, it turns out that I need stronger and long-term remedies. Some gal pals recommended drinking a kind of Chinese herbal soup called Ba Zhen. I've got them here and here. But then, it doesn't really help.

This time round, I need painkillers! Darn! I've been avoiding painkillers for so long. This month, the pain was like hell. I was working half way when the pain became so intense within 30 minutes that I need to find the fastest solution - yes, these evil looking pills are the answer.

They are Ponstan 500 mg and Naproxen-Apo 275 mg. Bear in mind, they MUST NOT be taken together and they MUST BE taken after food to avoid upsetting your stomach.

I was already half dead. Ponstan 500mg takes 1.5 hours to take effect. I retired to the sofa in my office and slept for about 1 hour. I took the yellow Ponstan pill at 1:45pm and I felt better only around 4pm (plus the 1-hour sleep). The effect wore off around 11pm. So I took the blue Apo pill so that I won't claw myself to sleep at night.

*shudders*

I'm still not feeling too well.

*sniffs*

Updated: Thanks to Fionne for emailing this cutesy Period Chart to me. It's gonna be useful. :)

Santini @ Jaya One, PJ

Naoko, Wind Goddess and I decided to head to Jaya One @ PJ for dinner. It's my fault. :P Naoko was assisting me in finding quite a huge number of eateries plus their reviews and she ended up salivating, I guess. XD

So, we settled at Santini, a restaurant bar @ Jaya One. Here's the address: 3-G, Blk M, Jaya One, PJ.

Red and white dominated the restaurant's chic and elegant interior but it's kinda empty. May be it's still early.

Clockwise from left: Complimentary bread, Misto Bosco (Salad) - RM15.90; Hawaiian Chicken Pizza (Large) - RM23.90; Alfredo (Pasta with Chicken and Mushroom in Creamy Sauce) - RM19.90. I did not take the photo of another pizza, Quottro Formaggi (meaning Pizza with 4 kinds of cheese, large) - RM29.90.

Food prices are considered as medium-high. 5% government tax and 10% service charge are applicable. So, if you're on budget, I'd not recommend this place.

Never underestimate the power of your actions...

I've received a few emails, all with the same article about a person named Kyle. Be it a real-life story or fiction, it's very inspirational.

One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd."

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying and I saw them landed in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes.

My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives."

He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!" There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.

I helped him pick up his books and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home and I carried some of his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends. He said yes. We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!" He just laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors we began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor and I was going for business on a football scholarship.

Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak.

Graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him. Boy, sometimes I was jealous!

Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!" He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. "Thanks," he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began.

"Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach... but mostly your friends. I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story."

I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.

"Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.

Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life for better or for worse.

God puts us all in each others lives to impact one another in some way. Look for God in others.

Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly. There is no beginning or end.

More USB hubs.....

Lately, I got jodoh with USB hubs, I guess. I've gotten one orange hub with a little cow icon on it; and now I got another funky one. It's white, having the same cow icon, shaped like a five-petal flower, and can be twisted around, thus amusing me for a couple of minutes. Or, if I'm damn pissed, may be I could imagine myself twisting that fella's intestines, or rather fingers, till they snapped! Pardon me for my disturbiaaaa~~~~ ;)

Thanks(pronounced as "Lao", meaning Old; you know how the Chinese people address their friends of the same age group.... oooooopppppps ;P) Mike, our ex-colleague, all of us shall miss you. Now that we are your ex-colleagues, remember to meet us for lunch, just as how you like to meet your otherrrrr ex-colleagues for lunch, horrrr?

Oh ya Rambling Mind, if I'm fed up with the white hub or rather the orange one, you know where to get it. XD

What's a Saturday?

Hmmm..... It's the first day of any weekend of the week, obviously. LOL.

And, it's a very good day to do these things:

Work (Yeah, you got it right!) @ Office with Mi Mi
Yo, Gurl, you're the best!
*Grinning from ear to ear*

Yum Char @ Winter Warmers, The Curve with Celia
Same row as Starbucks & Marché @ The Curve, unless you're new in PJ/KL, you should know where it is.

I've Scones (RM5 for a pair) and a pot of Royal Milk Tea (RM8.90). Celia opted for a small jug of Iced Mixed Fruit Cocktail (RM9.90). This is a great place to spend a quiet late afternoon with a female friend and chat as if the whole world revolves around us! LOL!

Also, Celia, help me say "TQ" to Ben
(is that his name?) for joining us at MNG & Sakae Sushi. XD

Let me sidetrack a bit. Jerry
, thanks for teaching me the very basic functions of Photoshop. Finally, I know how to create a picture like the one on top, thus saving me the time to upload multiple photos. Hehehe...

Getting addicted to Estrella's Stay

Sound straight from the twilight
Has me up all night
I can't fall asleep 'cause I keep thinking of you
And I..... saw a shadow outside my window and it's you

All my sorrows flew away
Hush, keep quiet, hear me say
I don't ever want you to go
Please stay

With the moonlight dancing free
And there's no one but you and me
There's no reason to go astray
Please stay

Making up a story
It's the way you're looking at me
If you think that this is funny, it's just you

Try and think about it
If your heart is closed, don't lock it
Keep your keys back in your pocket
Think this through

All my sorrows flew away
Hush, keep quiet, hear me say
I don't ever want you to go
Please stay

With the moonlight dancing free
And there's no one but you and me
There's no reason to go astray
Please stay

Please stay with me
Just stay with me
And I will take you to Foreverland
Just stay

Things Are Not Always What They Seem

From an email.

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guestroom. Instead they were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem."

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field? The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."

"有些事并不象它看上去那样。" 老天使答道,"当我们在地下室过夜时,我从墙洞看到墙里面堆满了金块。因为主人被贪欲所迷惑,不愿意分享他的财富,所以我把墙洞填上了。"

"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."

"昨天晚上,死亡之神来召唤农夫的妻子,我让奶牛代替了她。所以有些事并不象它看上去那样。"

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later...

有些时候事情的表面并不是它实际应该的样子。如果你有信念,你只需要坚信付出总会得到回报。你可能不会发现,直到后来...

Some people come into our lives and quickly go...
有些人走进我们的生活然后很快就离开了...

Some people become friends and stay awhile... leaving beautiful footprints on our hearts...
有些人成为朋友并稍作停留... 在我们的心里留下美丽的足印...

...and we are never quite the same because we have made a good friend!!
...因为有了一个好朋友,我们会变得跟从前不一样!!

Yesterday is history.
昨天是历史。

Tomorrow a mystery.
明天是一个谜。

Today is a gift.
今天是一个礼物。

That's why it's called the present!
因此它才被称为 present! (present 同时具有当前、目前和礼物的意思)

I think this life is special... live and savor every moment...

600th Post: Emergence of Juice

People change. I change too.

I apologize if the changes that you (certain ones of you) have seen shocked you. I owe you (plural) nothing. If you choose to ignore me, feel free to do so because I have made up my mind to detach myself from you (group).

All I need are friends, those who would take the risk to know me, like I do. :)

I present my journey...

I have an unhappy childhood. My teenage years were more or less the same. I was a short, plump, four-eyed girl who was so introvert, primp, proper, and boring. I don't know what is the meaning of love. I only recognize the pain and gain of adhering to rules and regulations. Although I excelled in my studies, I was not happy because I did not have many close friends. Best female friends come and go. There was never a boyfriend. I did not give it a thought either due to my plain appearance and physique.

Oh well... Inner beauty has always been losing out to outward beauty. This cruel truth shall stay true no matter how the world changes its course. When I was about 17, I wrote to a local Chinese newspaper columnist about my situation. I still have the newspaper clipping of her reply to me with me. I was advised to stay optimistic because amidst all sorts of imperfections, I was a girl with a deep personality. Whatever that means...

End of May 1999: I flew from Bintulu, Sarawak to Petaling Jaya to further my studies at Universiti Malaya (UM, KL). This was truly an escapade for me, I wanted to be away from home for so many years...

2000-2003: I was participating actively in healthy activities (mostly church-related) to boost my networking and friendship circle. I was ready to face the world. I wanted to excel in everything that I was involved in. In BM, semangat saya berkobar-kobar untuk mengecapi kejayaan demi kejayaan! Then, I fell in love with him... but I did not consider him as my ex. The relationship was never smooth and was ended abruptly because I needed to be away from PJ/KL for two years after graduating from my tertiary studies with a CGPA count of 3.68/4.00. One great thing was that I managed to slim my 57kg physique to a 48kg one. Muahahahahaha! My confidence was boosted. Never in my life had I felt so confident about my outward appearance.

2004-January 2007: I was active in church throughout this period of time and I was traveling all over West Malaysia. Then, in 2006, the 'he' married a close friend of mine. WTF. He should not have tested my heart while he was already loving this girl when I got back there. No boyfriends since then.

February 2007: My father passed away. :(

March 2007 till now: I am putting my whole soul and heart in my career. I love my career more than anything else now. And yeah, I love blogging too. And I love the new circle of friends, aka colleagues and clients. They are fantastic people! I avoid office politics, so I wanna mingle with all sorts of fellas co-working together, whether intra- or interdepartment for lunch, party, clubbing, whatever!

I'm still single... Hmmm... People ask me to have MORE faith. Duh... MORE faith and hope till when harr? But I do not want casual flings that end nowhere, I seek for a long-term relationship. Okay, I shall stop here.

Wanna sleep. I'm in the process of meeting deadly deadlines. *Gambate!*

The Teapot Cafe @ SS2 is a quaint little place. Locate it at the shop blocks across the road to the left side of RHB Bank @ SS2. Or, here's the address: 169, Jln SS2/24, PJ.

Its interior exudes a kind of homey warmth that makes you feel like putting your hands around a pot of hot tea while enjoying the quaintness of every single teapot placed around every inch of the cafe.....

Wind Goddess' Garlic Mushroom with salad, her favorite combination for a light, early dinner. Garlic, onion, and sliced button mushroom with salad dressing are the main bulk whereas the accompanying fresh vegetables sorta help to balance the rich and creamy mushroom. Added: RM5.90.

My Potato Salad with spring onions. Oh, it's a miracle that I could finish off the green thingy that I find distasteful. The girls helped me to finish off the potatoes though. It's fiiiilllliiiinnnngggg! Added: RM4.90.

Updated: Expect exceptions... okay?

Okay.

So, let me amend statement number 15 of my 25 Things. XD

Originally.....
I don't go clubbing, I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I don't do crazy things that go beyond ethical boundaries. I'll make sure that I won't get to know that kind of people, ever.

Well, what happened was.....
Hey, I went clubbing on a Saturday night, also Valentine's Day 2009 at two different clubs. Read again if you don't believe me, especially if you've known me for years as a good Christian girl who never done anything "wrong". Sorry for my cynicism anyway.

I can't believe I manage to drink pure Vodka at one shot plus a few glasses of Vodka Sprite and Whiskey with dunno what! I didn't puke or pass out but those few glasses were enough to make me do something that I thought I'll never do.

Are you gasping? Don't worry. It's just dancing with girls and guys, of course! Haha...

Here's SixthSeal's Exclusive Singles Valentine's Night @ Mist Club post.

And getting lost on highways before reaching home at 3 something in the morning was fun. Hell, I hate GPS. I love road signs better. XD

So, here's the amended statement number 15.
I go clubbing or drinking only once in a while and I don't smoke or do certain crazy things that go beyond ethical boundaries (depends on how I define it), but I'm glad to befriend certain ones who are WILD in a nice way!

Yes, I'm having evil thoughts now because I'm expecting exceptions to happen! Hahahahaha! Cool eh!

Also, don't label people as sinful. You don't know what grace is till you know what sin is. Till then, don't judge lest you be judged.

Train your English with Mariah Carey's songs :P

Ahahahahahahahaha!

The "Ken Lee" storm blew Valentina Hasan into stardom! I can't believe it! Watch the video below and you shall see how her "English" brought her closer to her fans, even the judges. By the way, "Ken Lee" means Can't Live (Mariah Carey's "Without You"):

Here's "Tuts My Barreh" or "Touch My Body" (also Mariah's song):

I'm not being mean. Remember, English is the international language. :)

Food is good!

Healthy snack!

Celery, Chinese cabbage, and cauliflower are healthy and fiber-rich. The little bowl contains kupang (something like oyster), a good source of minerals.

Steamed egg with Chinese mushrooms. Ahhhh... my favorite egg dish.

Oooohhh... Got the following
news from DiGi's Media Room, Press Releases.

DiGi mobilizes the web for future growth
Harnessing the online space through mySimplifieds

KUALA LUMPUR, 11 February 2009: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (DiGi) announced its foray into the online space with the launch of mySimplifieds (www.mySimplifieds.com), a classifieds portal to cement its strategy to expand beyond telecommunications services and stay on the pulse of its customers.

CEO of DiGi Johan Dennelind said, "We are exploring mobile-relevant business opportunities to further seed growth as the industry matures. Five months ago, we charted an industry's first to offer all DiGi customers free PA insurance worth RM10,000 via easy SMS activation. Today, we are tapping on the growing popularity of the online space as an avenue to engage with our current customers and to reach out to new audiences through the birth of our very own online classifieds portal, mySimplifieds."

The concept was coined to reflect DiGi's innovation and promise of simplicity. Aptly named, mySimplifieds, it was set up in partnership with a local content developer, Kasatria Technologies Sdn Bhd with a clear goal of creating a truly functional and easy-to-use service for Malaysian web and mobile users. It is a platform where people can meet online to buy and sell or simply browse.

mySimplifieds harnesses the full potential of Web 2.0 and social networks to make BUYING and SELLING simpler via various online features and functionalities. Unique to mySimplifieds, the portal allows users to create an additional access to promote their classified items via other websites, blog widgets, popular social networks (Facebook, Friendster), and mobile using WAP. Users can grab great deals online and via mobile for almost anything; from properties and gadgets, to tour packages, cars and books.

Within a month, mySimplifieds has registered close to ten thousand members, approximately six thousand ad postings and almost 500,000 page views.

Dennelind elaborated that mySimplifieds is one of many ideas DiGi has that leverages the potential of the web. "It is an example of how mobile user experience can be enhanced as people become more accustom to accessing internet via their mobile devices. The portal is optimized for mobile viewing, and we have plans to converge SMS services for users to get alerts on the go.

"This foray is aligned to our ambition to bring internet to the people and represents our investment for the future with a promise for greater customer-relevant experience and opportunity to grow new revenue streams," added Dennelind.

About DiGi
DiGi is Malaysia's fastest growing mobile operator driving innovations, simplicity and best value to enrich lifestyles through DiGi Prepaid, DiGi Postpaid and DiGi Business. Through its corporate-wide initiative, Deep Green, DiGi is committed to a sustainable business that is fiscally and ecologically responsible for all its stakeholders.

I just signed up as a user. The site has a blog as well! Cool!

From NST:

SHAH ALAM, WED: There are no job cuts in DiGi.Com Bhd despite the global economic slowdown, says chief executive officer Johan Dennelind. In fact, the company will hire more people to meet the manpower needs for new investments to be made this year, he said.

"We are still hiring and no job-cutting in DiGi. We want to strengthen our people in the areas of broadband, information technology and new media," he told reporters after launching its classifieds portal mySimplifieds www.mySimplifieds.com) here today.

Currently, the group has about 3,000 staff.

On investment, Dennelind said DiGi will make more investments this year to prepare the company for any slowdown.

"This is the best time to make investments as from that we can make adjustments to cushion the impact of the slowdown," he said, adding that the investment will be close to RM900 million.

Dennelind said the company also planned to launch its 3G services before the end of next month.

On the outlook of the industry, he expects the Malaysian mobile industry to continue to grow this year despite the gloomy economic climate. He projected the industry to grow by single digit this year as compared to about 10 percent last year.

On DiGi classifieds portal, mySimplifieds, Dennelind said the portal was part of the company’s strategy to expand beyond telecommunication services. The portal is an online classifieds that makes buying and selling simple.

"Users are able to post what they want to buy or sell in the portal. Currently, posting on mySimplifieds is free," he added.

Valkyrie

Wow.

That's the expression after watching Valkyrie, a 2008 historical thriller film, depicting the 1944 plot by German army officers to assassinate Adolf Hitler, the Führer of Germany. I didn't know there are conspiracies among the Germans themselves to wipe Hitler out from the face of this earth during WWII. Now, that's interesting.

Tom Cruise stars as Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, one of the key plotters. The film title, Valkyrie denotes Operation Valkyrie (Walküre), Germany's national emergency plan circa the 1940s.

Overall, this film captured the spirit of the conspirators in a positive way without fueling too much hatred towards Hitler. No scenes of concentration camp or gas chambers, only army officers and more army officers, and the "Hail Hitler!" salute. I can't recognize the Gestapo and SS officers though.

Well, I guess assassinations won't happen in Malaysia despite the embroiled situation in certain states. You know who should be assassinated? LOL.
