I long for a poem

I can't really write poems. In fact, if I do write poems, something is very "wrong" with me.

Minus those secondary school English Literature or Kesusasteraan Melayu homeworks, the first poem that I wrote was in Chinese. And... that was when "first love" didn't work out. As usual, when my emotion was in total havoc, creativity "juice" would flow freely and amazingly. I tore up the booklet that kept the eight-stanza poem the moment I knew he was engaged, then married. So much for poem-writing. What a lame way to start a poem :D

When was the second time I penned another poem? Let me think... It was after my dad's funeral, I believe. It was in English. I don't quite remember whether I still keep it. If I do, I'm not so keen to read it... again.

Third time, the poem was in BM. The story behind the poem was inspired after I cried myself to sleep upon learning the fact of a "situation". And yes, it's related to somebody... But am okay now. Mistakes speed up my growth in relationship-related situations.

However, I don't mean that I write poems only when I'm facing the downs of my life. And it doesn't necessarily mean that I'd write one when I do face terrible events or happenings.

Here's an example:

I long for happiness, but there's a fear my heart can't fight,
I fear of blindness, but oh, how I dreaded to see the light.

I dreamt of love that makes my heart tremble,
Love that makes the stars twinkle, love that's true and gentle.

But the love that was once so sweet, that once made me feel the heat,
Such love now makes me bitter and my soul, torn into pieces.

Bliss was so brief!
Yet, I continue with heartbreak... and grief.

I've no idea why this sort of "plot" came upon me. Well, at least I've written something when I'm not in despair or dismal or anything like that :P

Kamiya Etsuko (神谷悦子)

Joyce has the meaning of joy, joyous, or joyful. Joisu is just the transliterated version. So, I sought for a real Japanese name.

Here are a few samples that carry the connotation of "Joy".

1. Etsuko (悦子): From(etsu) "joy" and(ko) "child".

2. Sachiko (幸子): From(sachi) "happiness" and (ko) "child".

3. Yuki (幸, 雪, 由貴, 由紀): From"happiness" or"snow". Also from(yu) "reason" combined with(ki) "valuable" or(ki) "chronicle".

4. Yukiko (幸子, 雪子, 由喜子, 由貴子): From(yuki) "happiness" or(yuki) "snow" combined with 子 (ko) "child". Alternatively, from(yu) "reason" with (ki) "joy" or(ki) "valuable" combined with(ko) "child".

Finallyyyyy.......

I choose Etsuko because
悦子 sounds nice. Andmeans Joy.

:D

And Uncle Silver Fox gave me this: Usagino Etsuko (
(Note: Usagino,
is created by him, it's not a typical Japanese family name).

:D:D

Arigato gozaimasu!

:D:D:D

If you are interested, check this out: Behind the Name: Japanese Names

:D:D:D:D

Saw this family name: Kamiya (神谷).

So, Kamiya Etsuko
(神谷悦子) will be the real Japanese name.

Zoo from Otsu-ichi (Hirotaka Adachi)

Just finished watching Zoo, adapted from Otsu-ichi's collection of short stories.

Zoo, the movie is composed of 5 short films:
1. Kazari & Yoko
2. Seven Rooms
3. SO Far
4. Hidamari No Shi (Anime)
5. Zoo

Overall, each film length is below 30 minutes or so. Each has its own style but with one same approach: Slightly disturbing, giving you the "insight" of the dark side of mankind.

Check out the review here.

Itadakimasu~~

... means "Let's eat!"

Yeah! Ms Fionne wanted to eat at Restoran Boston Baru at Jalan Kapar, Klang.
Check out this
post on a food blog, sent by CL to show us the recommended dishes, I guess.

Driving all the way to search for good food is "kacang" only laaa...
Klang is so near, may be next time should drive to Genting Highlands or Melaka or even Seremban. Hehe...

Nah... Let's drool...

This dish is something called Deep Fried Mantis Prawn, covered with cornflakes, I think. Definitely NOT nasi goreng although it really looks like one.

The ever famous Hokkien Mee. Not bad with all the fried pork lard cubes, which I "telan" dunno how many. o_O

This is the BEST! Steamed Lala in Chinese wine with ginger slices & chili padi and topped with fried minced garlic. Very, very delicious. Didn't eat much of the lalas but I drank the soup till the very last drop. No words can express the satisfaction :P

This is Fried Tapioca Noodles. The noodles are made from tapioca flour and when you bite into these thick strands covered with gravy, they give you some kind of springy feel. Very special. Recommended! But, lots of fried pork lard cubes again... Pick them out if you are thinking about cholesterol and calories and any such things.

It's Bryan's Day ^^

Here are some of the captured moments. For more interesting shots, do get a slice of the gang's happiness at Aaron's Facebook > My Shoebox, Size 2. Also Chris' & CL's Facebook. I guess Naoko will follow up with more candid shots. Well, just go to her Facebook as well ^^V

I foresee there are more birthday treats to come~~~

After the dinner, we went on our own way. It was only 9:45pm by the time we left Marché. So, Fionne, Mimi, Wyan & I went to The Apartment (The Curve) for more drinks and chat. Tried Pink Margarita. Well... That's how it looks and tastes like.

Anyway, it has been another GREAT day! ^^

Oooppss!

Am addicted to this song: Miz's Backseat Baby (J-Pop)

The 10 Traits

Ah wellll... Read from an article about these 10 traits. What kind of traits? They are called the 10 indispensable traits to capture your man. Of course, this is just a REFERENCE because different guys will have different requirements.

Here are the 10 traits, without prioritizing or sequencing:

温柔 (lemah-lembut)
细心 (fine/detailed)
有见识 (knowledgeable)
体贴 (caring/understanding)
撒娇 (bermanja)
有仪态 (polite/ethical)
可爱 (cute)
大方 (sporting)
独立 (independent)

However, here are three samples of sequential traits.

Sample A:

Sample B:

Sample C:

I got no conclusion. But I guess my choice of the TOP THREE traits would be:

A lily, a rose or a carnation?

This is an interesting article. Read it just for fun.

Throughout the entire journey of our life, we will be meeting all kinds of people and in terms of relationship with the opposite sex, this is what will happen.

For a man, he'll meet:

1. A white lily: She's the one whom he loves secretly. This first-time experience of loving someone is sweet, pure, sincere, innocent, and somewhat melancholic and unforgettable.

2. A red rose: She's the one whom he loves passionately, desperately, and crazily. He'll "sacrifice" himself for her because he loves her.

3. A pink carnation: She's his wife. Their relationship is built upon mutuality, trust, and long term commitment. As his soul mate, she's not the one whom he's crazily in love with, but the one whom he could rely upon when he needs so.

Therefore, in his journey of life, a man will love a white lily secretly and a red rose passionately but he will choose a pink carnation to continue the journey for the rest of his life.

For a woman, she'll meet:

1. A man who sees her from afar: He's the one who loves her secretly but could never express his love for her for the rest of his life.

2. A man whom she can "bully": He'll do whatever she wants and be whatever she needs. Without her, he can't live. Without him, she can't live.

3. A man who can conquer/subdue her: He's the one whom she'll finally submit and "succumb" to in the name of love.

Very interesting.

Will cook: Chicken with Satay Sauce

I was searching all over my files for a copy of my degree certificate when I saw a printed recipe tucked away silently among the files. The title: Chicken with Satay Sauce, printed on 23 February 2007.

My dad passed away on 1 February 2007. Ever since then, sometimes I'd see him in my dreams.

Once, I dreamt of my dad (he was a cook), taking part in a cooking competition and he won the second prize with this dish: Chicken with Satay Sauce. It was then I sought
this recipe from the internet.

Here's the modified version:

Chicken with Satay Sauce
(Serves 2-4)

Ingredients:
450g boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1½ tbsp vegetable oil
3 cloves of garlic, coarsely chopped
1 cup of water

Marinade:
3 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp Shaoxing rice wine (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste
2 tsp corn flour

Sauce:
1 packet of Brahim's Satay Sauce (The delicious ready-to-cook sauce packed with peanuts, chilies, onions and tamarind ideal for cooking up aromatic dishes.)

Garnish:
Cucumber, thinly sliced

Preparation:
1. Cut chicken breasts into bite-size cubes. In a medium-size bowl, mix chicken with marinade ingredients and leave to stand for 30 minutes at room temperature.

2. Heat a wok over high heat and add vegetable oil. When the oil is hot, add garlic, then chicken, and stir-fry quickly for five minutes or until chicken is lightly browned.

4. Turn down heat to low, add Brahim's Satay Sauce and stir-fry for another five minutes or so. Add water and leave to simmer for 10 minutes or until gravy is thick. Do not overheat.

5. Dish out onto a plate and garnish with cucumber slices. Serve hot with white rice.

Mon-day or Moan-day?

Oh well... Depends.

Imagine driving through a narrow lane with cars parked on both sides while an immensely obese auntie "strolled" along without giving way and I've to drive with my heart at my mouth, just in case I happen to scratch her butt. That's what happened.

Then, imagine swerving your car sharply to the right to avoid head-on collision with a helmet which flew out of a motorist and tumbled across the road while you were driving at 80km/h. My heart stopped beating for a while when I swerved. Thank God there's no car on the right lane... Duh!

Then, there are people who don't understand that running across highways is an act of incomprehensible stupidity. It's a good thing that I always slow down whenever I see these idiots trying to rush across the road. If not, these two ladies won't be able to see the sky tomorrow. Choi!

Sigh... What a day... Moan-day...

But at least, Made Of Honor brightened me up! Sometimes, it's good to take a break from serious movies. I don't have much to comment about the movie. The storyline is not something extraordinary, in fact you could guess what's gonna happen next and how the story will end. But it's still a nice movie. Warm and touching. Ah well... Read its review here.

When it comes to movies...

Look at this:
I'm among the 4%. Wuakakaka... Really no eye see liao...

Ah well... Let me prove it by compiling the next MUST-WATCH MOVIES!

1. Hancock: Release on 3rd July, GSC. Must watch because got Will Smith and the story line is fantastic.

2. Hellboy 2: The Golden Army: Release on 10th July, GSC. Must watch because the director is Guillermo del Toro who directed Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy, and The Orphanage (Spanish - El Orfanato). Excellent movies!

3. The Dark Knight: Release on 17th July, GSC. Must watch because it's Batman! Batman Begins was fantastic. I guess The Dark Knight won't be too far either.

4. The X-Files: I Want To Believe: Release on 24th July, GSC. Must watch because it is and will always be my favorite TV series. And I've always like Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

5. The Mummy 3: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor: Release on 31th July, GSC. Must watch because I've watched The Mummy 1 & 2 and there's this cute Brendan Fraser ^^. And Jet Li as the bad emperor. Double ^^

Now there are 5 of them. Must set aside minimum RM50 for them. Hehe... That's a tiny amount.

^^V

What a Sunday :)

Yeah! That's exactly what I meant! And I've reasons for that. Hihihihi...

Got appointment with a friend. Drove all the way from Tmn Mayang Jaya in PJ to Setia Impian, somewhere between Eco Setia or Setia Eco Park (whatever) and Klang. I used NKVE, passed through Damansara and Setia Alam toll booths. Took me around 20 minutes to reach the residential area as I drove between 80-90 km/h only. Didn't wanna speed as I didn't want the Kelisa to consume too much petrol.

Upon reaching, parked my car at a friend's house. Wow... So, that's her house, I mean hers and her boyfriend's (almost hubby's) house. Not bad. Then both of them brought me and my sister (we are "inseparable") for BAK KUT TEH! Wuakakaka...

Aiyaa... I can't remember the shop's name but I remember the yellow shop banner with red wordings. Anyway, the bak kut teh was supremely fantastic! We tried both the usual (soup) type and the dry type. I tell myself, I shall drive there again...

*drooling*

After a round of satisfying lunch, it's a pleasure to "makan angin" around Klang. I think Ben, the driver drove us from one end of Klang to the other end. Went to the so-called largest Jusco in Malaysia. It's really HUGE. Walking was a bit tiring since we got to squeeze through the mammoth crowd of people everywhere (Eyes-rolling. I wonder where did these people come from...) So, we settled at Kim Gary. It's tea time anyway.

Then we continued our journey. Saw a lot of giant houses in Klang. I've always thought that Klang is a place for the poor or people of lower income. Hoh! Very wrong. There are a lot of "mansions" and I could see Nissan Fairlady or Murano, certainly not Kelisa or Kancil, although there are, everywhere in Klang. Not many BMW or Mercedes or Volvo though. But quite a number of Honda City, Accord, Camry. Also Toyota Vios.

Left Klang around 6pm. Wow, spent 6 hours in Klang. Reached Damansara toll and decided to pay IKEA a visit! It's 6:30pm and people were everywhere again. T_T

When you were at IKEA, it's very natural to wander to the nearby areas. So we ended up window shopping at Ikano, The Curve, finally, some real groceries shopping at Tesco. I believe the calories consumed during lunch time are well taken care of lorrr...

Back at home at 9:30pm and received a phone call from my secondary school classmate. What a surprise! Facebook creates wonders! I found her via Facebook and have kept in touch since then. Cool!

Ah well... It's still the same comment: What a Sunday :)

Quoted from The Star Weekender: Ah, life, art, cliches

This interesting article from The Star Weekender drew my immediate attention. A million thanks to the reviewer, Zeta Lu, in case you all wonder who wrote this article.

Made of Honor
Cast: Patrick Dempsey, Michelle Monaghan, Sydney Pollack, Kevin McKidd
Director: Paul Weiland

Art imitates art when it comes to romantic comedies, and they sure turn on the cliches and sweet nothings in Made of Honor.

Dear Aunty Agony,

I'm a 5-foot-2, have a good chin, dreamy blue eyes and am blessed with a beautiful head of ruffled hair - the kind that girls love to run their fingers through, and bald men would willingly trade their kidney for. Besides being dashingly handsome, I'm also lucky to have a successful career. I love to show off my fortune and sexy hair by driving around New York in my topless Jaguar E-Type.

On the subject of luck and going topless, I enjoy even better luck with the ladies. Just the other day, a girl left me her number on my coffee cup! I bet her shirt would magically disappear once she runs her fingers through my irresistible mane!

Yes, I admit I have a weakness for women, and women have an even greater weakness for me. No wonder my friends and family call me "The Fornicator." I avoid having any sort of emotional attachment with my conquests though, even to the extent of devising a set of rules that I religiously adhere to (I'll never sleep with a woman two nights in a row).

I guess the failure to tame my manhood and inability to have lasting, meaningful relationship with the opposite sex runs in the family. My father, who incidentally looks like the late actor/director/producer Sydney Pollack, was married six times; almost always to dumb blonde types.

When it comes to women, the only constant in my life is my best friend Julia, whom I haven't slept with. Yet.

She works as a fine-art restorer and is cute as a button. Our relationship can be described as platonic and flirtatious, just like the one Ross and Rachel from Friends had. But now I think I'm deeply in love with her and want her to be my wife. The problem is, she is now engaged to a wealthy alpha male from Scotland and plans to move there. And horror of horrors, she even wants me to be her maid of honor!

My buddies suggest that I put together the perfect wedding and sabotage it later by stealing the bride. Will that work? I'm all confused. What should I do? Please help.

Rupert

*****
Dear Rupert,

Is life imitating art? Or is it art that's imitating life? Your predicament reads exactly like the plot to Made of Honor, the romantic comedy starring Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan.

And, oh, you are quite the lady killer for a hobbit. I'm impressed.

Now, if you do not wish to face the painful realities of life but long for a fairy-tale solution to your problem, let me suggest that you watch the movie for pointers. If you haven't seen it already, let me warn that Made of Honor is rom-com at its most formulaic.

You know the story: boy meets girl, girl is indifferent to boy, girl and boy connect in contrived fashion, boy falls in love with girl, boy and girl have a major fight, boy and girl make up with a climatic kiss against the backdrop of a key event or scenic location (in this case, a cliche: last minute confessions at the altar when the girl is just about to say, "I do!" to the wrong man).

If you're into all things green, and I'm not talking about The Hulk here, Made of Honor is also an environment-friendly Hollywood product. Firstly, it contains recycled materials: Think Runaway Bride with Dempsey taking the role of Julia Roberts, even right down to pratfalls and eleventh-hour horse ride to the church.

Like Runaway Bride, Made of Honor draws on nuptial preparations in answering an age-old romantic query: Can a man really remain only good friends with a woman?

Secondly, like organically-grown vegetables, the movie is practically non-toxic from start to finish. While there is an absence of clever or original set pieces, both Dempsey and Monaghan have good chemistry, seems comfortable in their roles and are easy on the eye. And credit goes to director Paul Weiland, who manages to capture the Scottish landscape beautifully.

Yes, the movie is a mindless watch, remarkably silly, and never deals with the real complexities of love and relationship, but it really is what the audience and insecure gentlemen like you want. The prince gets the girl in the end - it's the best kind of escape from real life there is.

So Rupert, truth be told, your soul mate is usually not the one you aspire to love; it's the one you make a life with. Give yourself some time to resolve whether your best friend is someone you're really in love with, or someone you have an imaginary spiritual connection with, or simply someone your "member" is itching to get up close and far too personal with.

Failing that, I strongly recommend you gatecrash the wedding on horseback and steal the bride. Good luck!

Buried in thoughts...

Most of us are visual-oriented. When we see something, be it a matter, scenario or situation, we tend to decipher it according to our perception, logic, and belief. However, do we ever realize that what we see may not be what we think it is or should be? Or worse, do we ever understand that what we think may not be what other people think?

We perceive things differently but the sad thing is that there are certain norms in the society, of which, if you go against them, you suffer. Or worse, others suffer as well. Ah well... it's impossible to please everybody. You make this one happy, you screw up with the other one.

So, I come to a conclusion. When we are making decisions to do or not to do, ask your conscience. Better still, if you are a believer, ask the Lord Jesus. Well, the Lord won't answer you directly but through His word and circumstances or people around you. When there's inner peace or when your conscience doesn't scream at you, I believe that decision is okay.

I have a friend. A good friend. And he has a lot of female friends. He has some kind of aura that soothes the female species, I guess. From what I see, he does not have an intimidating personality and thus the females tend to "flock" to him for solace, comfort, advice, help, and companionship. This is a good trait that most females will be attracted to but at the same time, afraid of. Why? Because this male is "drowned" with the attention he receives from females of different personalities and characters and thus, it's hard for him to reject their invitation. In the end, it'd be either he or the female, or both, hurt. Hope this doesn't happen too many times. And of course, this is purely my opinion. It may not be so accurate. Although from my experience, I won't be too wrong. Haha...

All I can say is that females are funny creatures. Actually, they don't know what they want. And their act of sacrifice could be very "far-fetched", if needed. But I believe, the most important thing is to be happy with what you have now. Just let things be as per what they are now. Time will tell. And when time tells, you will be in awe. Nothing can beat experience.

Get Smart makes you laugh!

Tell you what... Go watch Get Smart!

Oh my... The whole packed hall laughed, I dare say, from the time the movie started till the end.

The storyline is simple as usual. Agents on a mission to take down the baddies behind mass production of nuclear weapons and prevent catastrophic destruction of the city of L.A. Yes, there are a lot of fight scenes, cars chasing, agents fighting on a fast-moving car that bound to collide with an oncoming train... etc, but the good thing is they are not those heavy fight scenes with a lot people dead from injuries or something. Everything is mild with fantastically funny acts and conversation liners.

Ok. That's all I'd say. Go watch it! You won't regret!

And I'm lucky to get the tickets.

After bak kut teh dinner with the gang at Puchong, some of us decided to watch a movie. First choice was at IOI Mall but then I decided to go to Cineleisure. By the time I reached Cineleisure, it was 10:40pm and Get Smart's light is blinking in orange, indicating that the tickets for 11:35pm were selling fast. My heart sank. Called up Mark & CL and we all settled with Made of Honor. So, I continue to queue up.

Haha... I guess at 11pm, the orange light became green. Wow! I think they released those online-booked tickets! YES! And I got Get Smart tickets for the 4 of us. Now, that's what we call "get smart". You can get smart when you want to watch "Get Smart." Come so late still can get nice movie and nice place to watch. Wuakaka...

Shout To The Lord

This is a very nice song.

Shout To The Lord

My Jesus, my Savior,
Lord, there is none like You,
All of my days, I want to praise
the wonders of Your mighty love.

My Comfort, my Shelter,

Tower of refuge and strength,
Let every breath, all that I am,
Never cease to worship You.

Chorus:
Shout to the Lord, all the earth
, let us sing,
Power and majesty, praise to the King,

Mountains bow down and the seas will roar,
At the sound of Your name.

I sing for joy at the work of Your hands,
Forever I'll love You, forever I'll stand,
Nothing compares to the promise I have
in YOU!

Shout to the Lord, all the earth, let us sing,
Power and majesty, praise to the King,

Mountains bow down and the seas will roar,
At the sound of Your name.

I sing for joy at the work of Your hands,
Forever I'll love You, forever I'll stand,
Nothing compares to the promise I have
Nothing compares to the promise I have
Nothing compares to the promise I have
in YOU!

29th Birthday

I don't mind revealing that this year marks my 29th birthday.
Celebrated it in small scale yet meaningful with my sister and a long-time friend at Nando's 1U.

I have 1/4 Mild Peri-Peri Chicken with sidelines - Mediterranean Rice & Fresco Salad.
Actually, there's a little flag on a toothpick sticked to the chicken.
The tagline for "Mild" is "Tickle Your Taste Buds."

See what I was doing? The long-time friend baked a chocolate cheese cake for me. :)
It's not decorated but she brought a little box of white chocolate chips, saying that the little chips looked like supermini candles. Haha... Cute!

Tada... I arranged them to form "29". Love it!

Thanks, Kuan!

Cutting the cake!

Scars

From an email.

When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.

Concentrate on this sentence...

"The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you."

Some years ago, on a hot summer day in south Florida, a little boy decided to go for a swim in the old swimming hole behind his house. In a hurry to dive into the cool water, he ran out the back door, leaving behind shoes, socks, and shirt as he went.

He flew into the water, not realizing that as he swam toward the middle of the lake, an alligator was swimming toward the shore.

His father working in the yard saw the two as they got closer and closer together. In utter fear, he ran toward the water, yelling to his son as loudly as he could.

Hearing his voice, the little boy became alarmed and made a U-turn to swim to his father. It was t oo late. Just as he reached his father, the alligator reached him.

From the dock, the father grabbed his little boy by the arms just as the alligator snatched his legs. That began an incredible tug-of-war between the two. The alligator was much stronger than the father, but the father was much too passionate to let go. A farmer happened to drive by, heard his screams, raced from his truck, took aim and shot the alligator.

Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital, the little boy survived. His legs were extremely scarred by the vicious attack of the animal. And, on his arms, were deep scratches where his father's fingernails dug into his flesh in his effort to hang on to the son he loved.

The newspaper reporter who interviewed the boy after the trauma, asked if he would show him his scars. The boy lifted his pant legs. And then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, "But look at my arms. I have great scars on my arms, too. I have them because my Dad wouldn't let go."

You and I can identify with that little boy. We have scars, too. No, not from an alligator, but the scars of a painful past. Some of those scars are unsightly and have caused us deep regret. But, some wounds, my friend, are because God has refused to let go. In the midst of your struggle, He's been there holding on to you.

The Scripture teaches that God loves you. You are a child of God He wants to protect you and provide for you in every way. But sometimes we foolishly wade into dangerous situations, not knowing what lies ahead. The swimming hole of life is filled with peril - and we forget that the enemy is waiting to attack. That's when the tug-of-war begins - and if you have the scars of His love on your arms, be very, very grateful. He did not and will not ever let you go.

Please pass this on to those you love. God has blessed you, so that you can be a blessing to others. You just never know where a person is in his/her life and what they are going through.

Never judge another persons scars, because you don't know how they got them. Also, it is so important that we are not selfish, to receive the blessings of these messages, without forwarding them to someone else.

Right now, someone needs to know that God loves them, and you love them, too - enough to not let them go.

To sender: Thanks a million! It is very meaningful. "...
if you have the scars of His love on your arms, be very, very grateful. He did not and will not ever let you go."

Hoohah!

Kung Fu Panda is coming reallllll soon! 6 June! The Pandamonium is approaching...

I love the Kungfu Fighting song. Here it is:

Can't seem to resist it. Oh-uh.

Exactly! I watched the English & also the Cantonese versions

The Cantonese version has Eason Chan's voice as Po the Panda, Jackie and Jaycee Chan (father and son) as Monkey and Crane respectively, Denise Ho as Tigress, Josie Ho as Viper, and Sam Lee as Mantis. Cool!

Master Oogway is hilarious, both in the English and Cantonese version. Tai Lung (Tai Pao in Cantonese) is so menacingly "good-looking".

Had a GOOD laugh although I watched this movie twice. RECOMMENDED!

The Incredible Hulk

Watched The Incredible Hulk.

That's after my birthday dinner at Nando's, 1U. Photos to be added soon. :D

Updates: Photos.

To me, it's just another movie to watch to kill time. But the funniest thing is the cameo appearance of Tony Stark (YES! It's Tony Stark, Ironman, remember?) at the end of the movie. It's kinda hilarious. I guess since both the green hulk and the iron man are from Marvel, it's OK for them to appear anywhere they like. Haha...

But what I don't like about this movie is the existence of another "hulk", the baddie (The green one is the good one). It has protruding spine and is very, very, very mean.

"Now, see her die!"

"Jeneral!"

"Any last words?"

Urgghhh!!

The CGI is ok-ok. You know, those monsters running around, cars flying, fire everywhere... It's not gory but the "booooom, baaaang, boooiiink..." whatever sound, hurt my ears. Haha...

Overall, quite ok. However, if you miss it, it's also ok. So, watch or not, it's up to your discretion :)

Ay, iyaiyai, I'm your little butterfly

Spam RSS with Youtube-loaded posts! LOL! I just like to do this.

*blekk at Naoko*

Ever heard of this song? The MV is a bit weird but I like the lyrics and the tune.

I'm Your Little Butterfly

Ay, iyaiyai,
Ay, iyaiyai,
Ay, iyaiyai
Where's my samurai?

I've been searching for a man
All across Japan
Just to find, to find my samurai
Someone who is strong
But still a little shy
Yes I need, I need my samurai

Ay, iyaiyai, I'm your little butterfly
Green, black and blue, make the colors in the sky
Ay, iyaiyai, I'm your little butterfly
Green, black and blue, make the colors in the sky

I've been searching in the woods
And high upon the hills
Just to find, to find my samurai
Someone who won't regret
To keep me in his net
Yes I need, I need my samurai

Ay, iyaiyai, I'm your little butterfly
Green, black and blue, make the colours in the sky
Ay, iyaiyai, I'm your little butterfly
Green, black and blue, make the colours in the sky

Ay, iyaiyai,
Ay, iyaiyai,
Ay, iyaiyai
Where's my samurai?

Ay, iyaiyai, I'm your little butterfly
Green, black and blue, make the colours in the sky...

Happy, happy, happy days

Hahaha...

Ironically.

Am trying to cheer myself up after translating the happy excel up to row number 78 out of 176, I guess.

So, am listening to an old song called Happy Days, sung by Norman Gimbel & Charles Fox.

Read along if you don't know the tune:

Sunday, Monday, Happy Days.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days.
Thursday, Friday, Happy Days.
The weekend comes,
My cycle hums,
Ready to race to you.

These days are all,
Happy and Free. (Those Happy Days)
These days are all,
Share them with me. (Oh baby)
Goodbye grey sky, hello blue.
There's nothing can hold me when I hold you.
Feels so right, it can't be wrong.
Rockin' and rollin' all week long.

Sunday, Monday, Happy Days.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days.
Thursday, Friday, Happy Days.
Saturday, What a day,
Groovin' all week with you.

These days are all,
Share them with me. (Those Happy Days)
These days are all,
Happy and Free. (Oh baby)
These Happy Days are your's and mine.
These Happy Days are your's and mine, Happy Days.

I got the MP3, courtesy of Foxie :P

Coming Monday is my happy day and my most memorable gift at this point of time is to do happy thingy for happy on my happy day.

So, let's sing! Mike, especially you!

Sunday, Monday, Happy Days...
bla bla bla bla bla bla bla...

What Can I Do?

Was moving my stuff to my new house bit by bit.

Stopped by a grocery shop to get a cup noodles and a bottle of full cream milk for my dinner.

Then this song caught my attention. It's a very sweet song, especially the chorus :D

What Can I Do by The Corrs

I haven't slept at all in days
It's been so long since we've talked
And I have been here many times
I just don't know what I'm doing wrong

What can I do to make you love me?
What can I do to make you care?
What can I say to make you feel this?
What can I do to get you there?

There's only so much I can take
And I just got to let it go
And who knows I might feel better
If I don't try and I don't hope

What can I do to make you love me?
What can I do to make you care?
What can I say to make you feel this?
What can I do to get you there
?

No more waiting, No more aching
No more fighting, No more trying

Maybe there's nothing more to say
And in a funny way I'm calm
Because the power is not mine
I'm just gonna let it fly

What can I do to make you love me?
What can I do to make you care?
What can I say to make you feel this?
What can I do to get you there?

Love me..

Happy translating...

The title should read "happiiiiiieeeeee" translating. The excel file got 176 rows, Mikie darling. And Chris-ie sent v1.2.xls just now. And Ah Seng-zai wants shorter terms.

T_T

And I need to explore the current site to find out the existing version.

Double T_T

Annnyyyywayyy, it's alright. It's all for happie :) Right, Mikie?

So much for "happpiiieeee" translating.

*****

Let's turn to "amuuuusssiiinnnngggg" copywriting.

- i see a happie bunnie
- i see a cheekie foxie
- joyce = joice = joycie = joicie = joixie = joycy (all given by friends). Ahh.. another one: juice (by myself). Errppp... juicy, juicie, juixie...

The point is to change -y to -ie and play around with it. Mischievousness keeps boredom away and energizes me to the max!

And here's a nice picture. The dog dog is calling me, "JOY~~~~ SSSSS"!!!! I mean, imagine it.

Hahahaha... Have I gotten on your nerve?

*****

Talking about something else. My title is Copywriter / Operations Executive. Ain't no PM spelling there. But why do I keep on receiving emails from the boss and the emails are addressed to all PMs?

*shrugs*

Whatever... It's fun though, in charge of my "baby" and at the same time, "playing" with the baby's owners.

*shhhh... can't spill too much beans here*

Ok... Time to open up the excel and continue the "doomed" journey into the happy world.

*wink wink*

Stuck with this vid...

...after I found it at Youtube.

It all happened after DJ Francis of Fuel Interactive played this song for a few days in a row.

Part One

Part Two

Forever Love (王力宏)

I LOVE YOU

baby baby baby baby
oh baby baby oh baby

我們的愛 (F.I.R.)

Forever Love
Forever Love Forever Love
Forever Love
Forever Love
