J&R Specials - Crispy Pork KnuckleDavid and I dined at Jarrod & Rawlins - Purveyors of fine food and wine, for our first anniversary dinner. :)

J&R's huge platter of Crispy Pork Knuckle is served with streaky bacon, roast potatoes served with J&R's piquant cream dip & a prune & apple compote. I'd say, this platter can feed up to three or four people, it's too huge for two persons. Being moderate eaters, both of us couldn't clear up the whole platter. The leftovers could do us at least two mini office lunches. :P
So, how's the pork? Crispy Pork Knuckle needs at least 30 minutes of preparation time. The result is awesome! We savor crispy skin and succulent, tender meat. The cream dip has an excellent tangy cheesy aftertaste and I particularly love the prune and apple compote because it's soothingly sweet and complements the mildly salty pork knuckle. Delicious!
There's almost no Saturday dinner crowd at this particular outlet. If you want to enjoy solitude at a diner that serves pork-based meals, you might want to dine at Jarrod & Rawlins @ Desa Sri Hartamas. :)

Maybe you can also consider trying out Aa Li Ya , which is right next to J&R! They serve authentic Sri Lankan dishes, very Yummy! Ü
