Movie: Insidious (2011)

It's not the House that's Haunted.

Insidious (2011)
is a horror movie directed by James Wan, best known as one of the initial creators of the "Saw" movie series. I Wiki-ed James Wan and found out that he's born in Kuching, Sarawak!

Synopsis: A young couple, Josh (Patrick Wilson) and Renai Lambert (Rose Byrne) has everything they need - a beautiful new house, two lovely boys - Dalton and Foster, and a lovely baby girl.

Things start to go awry around the house after Dalton falls into a mysterious coma. With the help from Josh's mother, Lorraine, Josh and Renai agree to investigate the paranormal presence in their house with a team of paranormal experts and a psychic in order to save their son's soul before he's lost to "The Further."

Consensus from the Internet about this movie: "It depends on characters, atmosphere, sneaky happenings and mounting dread. This one is not terrifically good, but moviegoers will get what they're expecting."

Here's the best statement to sum up the entire movie: "Insidious is the kind of movie you could watch with your eyes closed and still feel engrossed by it. It's a haunted-house thriller filled with all the usual creaking doors, groaning floors and things that go bump in the night, but it'll also grab you with some disturbing, raspy whispers on a baby monitor, a few melancholy piano plunkings and the panicky bleating of an alarm as a front door is mysteriously flung open in the middle of the night." Watch it or not? If you're a horror movie junkie, you should watch this movie. :)
