Rice Cooker Quick Chili

Rice Cooker Quick Chili

We bought a brand new Philips Avance Collection Fuzzy Logic Rice Cooker and tested it out by cooking a big pot of chili!

Ingredients:
(Serves 4-6)

1 medium red onion, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
400g ground pork (you can also use ground beef or chicken)
1 cup diced carrot
1 cup diced celery
1/2 cup frozen green peas
1 small can tomato puree
1 can broad beans, drained
1 cup raw white kidney beans, soaked overnight
1 cup raw pinto beans, soaked overnight
2 tablespoons paprika powder
1 tablespoon chicken seasoning powder
Enough water to cover all ingredients

How to:

Place the inner pot into the rice cooker and add all ingredients into the inner pot. Stir until combined. Choose "Soup" from the menu selection and change the cooking time to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Press Start. Once done, give everything a good stir, season with salt and pepper if necessary, and keep warm in the cooker until ready to serve.

Here's how the rice cooker looks like:
