  1. Hey there Joyce,
Looks like you neglected to give your comments about the Nasi Kerabu & Nasi Ayam Panggang. I have been waiting for this place to open. Last night, finally made my first visit there but turned out to be disappointing.
I was first excited to see they had kedondong plum drink on the menu but I was told it was not available. Then I asked for the next in line but it was also not available. So, had to settle for a limau sirap.
I felt that the drink was unnecessarily large and priced high. There was nothing below RM2. This for an open air foodcourt.

  2. Hi KJ Man,

Yeah, I didn't comment about food quality because it's not up to standard. However, it's newly opened, so I guess it'd be good to wait for a few more months before I revisit and write again.

I do agree with you that prices for drinks are way too high. I guess they are still in trial period.

Let's see how everything will turn out to be in 3 months time. :)

    Regards,
    Joyce

  3. I went to MSKJ with a bunch of friends the very first day it opened. They had everything on the first day and i find the drinks tasty, the price of RM 2 + were reasonable as they have big screen tvs and a pretty comfortable atmosphere.Furthermore, drinks are larger than normal and priced only only a bit higher.I also find the drinks less diluted when compared with other similar places.

For food i tried the char kuey teow and it was good.So far, i like the place as i find it comfortable to hang out and parking is ample. However,i found that as the days go on, some items in the drink menu became out of stock.I guess in every new food outlet, the operators need time to know what is hot and what is not, and make the necessary orders to always have stock for every item.

  4. Hi,
I am the affiliated with Medan Selera Kelana Jaya.Firstly,i would like to thank you guys for your honest opinions and for your support. We were discussing about the drink size/prices and decided to give "more kao drinks, bigger size and at a slightly higher but yet affordable price".After surveying the area,we felt it was fair to price our drinks *slightly* higher than the mamaks as we use expensive and bigger glasses, more premium ingredients and we also offer services such as 4 MB wifi (which application is currently pending).

I am sorry that you did not get the order you wanted. We order our fruits daily so that it will always be fresh. For kedongdong and starfruit, our suppliers have ran out of stock and we will replenish our supplies ASAP.

So since you guys are not happy with prices,if we reduced our drink size and prices, will that be more suitable towards your preference? Please leave me any feedback you have,as we are striving to serve our consumers to the very best of our ability.

  5. Hi Rahim, I guess I should try out the char kuey teow. :) Medan Selera Kelana Jaya is very near my working place, it'd a fantastic place to get instant food.

About this: ...drinks are larger than normal and priced only only a bit higher. I also find the drinks less diluted when compared with other similar places. >> This would be a good point.

    Thanks for sharing. :)

  6. Hi Han,

    Thanks for dropping by.

About this: "more kao drinks, bigger size and at a slightly higher but yet affordable price" >> it's great to hear that.

"if we reduced our drink size and prices, will that be more suitable towards your preference?" >> I think different people will have different preference. This is also the reason why I commented to KJ Man that this might be a trial period.

By the way, great thing that there's a giant screen for football matches at night! Open air, a cuppa of drinks, and football match to watch, I guess most guys would love that. :)

    Regards,
    Joyce
