Dinner @ Belanga, The Gardens, Mid Valley

According to its menu book, Belanga's owner is a Kelantanese lady. Belanga offers a variety of authentic Kelantanese dishes, i.e. Nasi Tumpang, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu, Laksam, etc.

I agreed with what David said after we've paid the bills and left the outlet. Prices charged for their main dishes are considered a tad too expensive. I believe, if you're having the same dishes in Kelantan or Terengganu, the price difference would be rather significant. Nevertheless, I decided to give Belanga a try, just for fun. :P

Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang
The fragrant rice has a greenish tone that might have derived from pandan juice used to cook the rice. The beef chunks are succulent. However, it's rather pricey at RM12.90 for such a normal portion, not the usual price that we pay for nasi lemak.

Nasi Kerabu with Grilled Fish
Looks good? You've nasi kunyit, keropok, kerisik, ulam, and of course, a grilled fish. At RM11.90, I'd say it's rather pricey. You can also choose chicken or beef rendang but at slightly higher prices, RM12.90 and RM13.90 respectively.

Ice Teller
This dessert saves the day. It's actually blended ice served with avocado, jackfruit (nangka), coconut flesh, colorful sago balls, attap seeds, milk, and rose syrup. Sweet. Good to share with your loved one. RM6.90. :P
