What's A Project Manager?

As days and months go by, as progression starts to call it quit, and as I begin to wonder what else can be done, questions start to pop one by one in my head. The moment I ask questions, of which I seldom do, it means I'm rather perplexed.

So, as an effort of self-analyzing and self-reviewing, I read up about being a project manager and found an informative article, as below:

PROJECT/PRACTICE RELATED COMPETENCIES

Project /Practice Management


* Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.* Acts as coordinator to facilitate smooth communication between various internal teams and review project deliverables before passing to client.

* Provides continuous system support and technical expertise to on-going projects.

* Provides operational process analysis to fulfill customer requirements.


* Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.

* Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
* Effectively applies methodology and enforces project standards.

* Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.

* Minimizes exposure and risk on project.

Project Accounting

Verdict: Sounds complicated huh? I think the part about organizational responsibilities are for seniors.
