My favorite artisan granola bars (featuring Bonyū Bā) {with Discount Code!}

I fell in love with Bonyū Bā the moment I saw their products on their Facebook page.

Bonyū Bā, founded by Su Yi, a busy mom of three, makes homemade granola bars. She's also a breastfeeding mom (me too!) and she makes these bars as a quick fix solution for healthy snacks when moms get too busy but still need to eat!

Quality ingredients. Photo from bonyuba.com

Bonyū Bā makes artisan granola bars from quality ingredients. Absolutely no nasty ingredients: only natural goodness in every bar of Bonyū. Let me tell you a secret: I absolutely love all three flavors: Regular, Very Chocolatey, Blueberries. They are perfect for breakfast, tea-time snack, and while you're on the go.

Update (22 July 2015): There are two new flavors: Chocolate Chips and Goji Berries.

Let me tell you another secret: Every bar is lovingly made in Bonyū Bā's private SLK (small little kitchen). They own a kitchen to just make these bars.

These granola bars are moist and they have this really nice melt-in-your-mouth kind of texture. They are not overly sweet as well. Most importantly, I feel safe eating them because the list of ingredients is printed boldly on the packaging of each vacuum-packed bar. Only top-notched, organic ingredients are used!

To Muslim friends, all ingredients used to make these granola bars are sourced from certified halal suppliers and reputable bakery ingredients stores. Bonyū Bā artisan granola bars will make great addition to your buka puasa meals and as visiting gifts during Hari Raya!

Ok! Now, I'm gonna share how my family of three enjoy Bonyū Bā's goodness! Oh, and don't forget to find out the Discount Code at the bottom of this post. ;)

Let's start!

For the mommy

First, Bonyū Bā granola bars makes an excellent addition to my breakfast smoothie. Here's a recipe to share with you.

Upside-Down Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients:
(Serves 2)

For the smoothie:

2 Valencia oranges, peeled and roughly chopped
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup almond milk
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon raw honey

For the layers:

1 regular Bonyū Bā granola bar, finely chopped
1 cup chia pudding (made from chia seeds + almond milk + Greek yogurt + molasses sugar)

How to:

Add all smoothie ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Put finely chopped Bonyū Bā granola bar at the bottom of a glass. Spoon chia pudding over the granola. Pour the smoothie on top and garnish with a pinch of chopped granola bar. Serve with a spoon.

For the hubby

I pack one bar for hubby for his mountain-biking trip.

For the baby

The baby just eats the entire bar directly - no fuss, no frills. And he loves munching on them so much while wandering around the house.
