Kimchi Korean Restaurant @ Tropicana City Mall

My cravings for Korean food brought me to venture into this restaurant at Tropicana City Mall: Kimchi Korean Restaurant (L1-57, 1st Floor, Tropicana City Mall), which is located beside Otak-Otak Place. Look out for Borders and you'll find Kimchi Korean Restaurant around that area.

Even easier, look out for an outlet on the first floor with peachy and pinkish interior. You should be able to spot the outlet's employees standing outside the outlet, clad in pink T-shirts, and greeting passers-by with "Anyonghaseyo!", non-stop. ;)

Menu Cover

Neat & spacious interior. I wonder why customers aren't flocking in. My guess is that Tropicana City Mall is not happening, as usual.

I'm in love with Korean Bean Paste Soup.

My sister gave sizzling beef a try.

Side dishes - Too few. They should increase the varieties. However, they're refillable without extra charges.

Sizzling Beef with Glass Noodles & Spring Onions

What do we have here? This dish comes with or without rice. Not a bad choice although the beef julienne are slightly over-cooked and not tender. Oyster mushrooms are soaking in the beef's juices, nice. The egg yolk looks very delicious, peppered with sesame seeds. Glass noodles stir-fried with spring onions, cabbage, and carrot slices with a dollop of mayonnaise add "volume" to this dish. :)

Dwen Jang Ijikeh

It simply means seafood & vegetables in spicy soya bean paste soup. It also comes with or without rice. I love the spiciness of the soup with its fresh selection of prawns, lala, crabmeat filament sticks, enoki mushroom, oyster mushroom, glass noodles, chillies, and tofu. WOW!

Korean Ginseng Tea

This is how they serve ginseng tea.

Note: 10% service charge will be included to your bill.

Check out my second visit.
