[Friday-15] Sushi Groove

It's a Friday and my sister and I decided to dine at Sushi Groove (G342-343, Oval, New Wing, One Utama) while waiting for Chris and the rest of the office peeps. We'll be watching Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian at GSC.

I've a discount dine-in voucher worth RM10 with 31 May 2009 as its end date. So, why not use it? Haha! The bottom right dish (from photo above) is Fried Salmon in Groovy Sauce. From the menu, this dish is described as, "Special fried salmon tossed in our tangy sweet sauce... absolutely lip-smacking." A good dish as an appetizer, very flavorful.

From top left, clockwise: Salmon Shio Bibimbab (baked rice in claypot, mixed with salmon, vegetables, and seaweed), Tuna Nigiri, and Dynamite Balls (salmon-wrapped rice balls baked with special dynamite sauce).

I vote the baked rice as the best dish of the night. I love the crunchiness of the piping, steaming hot rice mixed with the rich gravy of salmon, vegetables, seaweed, and an egg seeping through every grain of rice. Delicious! The Dynamite Balls failed to make any worthy-to-be-mentioned impression to my palate despite its kinda fantastic name. Same goes to Tuna Nigiri, I could get those tuna 'slabs' at Jaya Jusco, just smaller in size and cheaper. :P

Price wise, not recommended if you're on budget. Total bill was RM32 (after deducting RM10 from the voucher). :)
